one. this is a mostly canon compliant but headcanon based portrayal of satine kryze from the star wars prequel trilogy era. i draw on content from all media set both in legends and new canon. this blog is mutuals only and please respect that.two. as the above might imply, i'm very familiar and friendly to both versions of canon. i've been a fan since twelve and grew up devouring the books first in old and now in disney canon. however, i don't expect you to like or know as much as i do by any means. in fact, i'm happy to be a mini wiki/research assistant to anyone wanting to know more.however, i would like to avoid those posting constant hate of either timeline and will likely unfollow those who (as i've seen in some cases) post it on a daily basis. i understand and also have criticisms, but that's too much.three. while, like anyone, i generally have favorites, these people are unofficial mains. i don't practice or post official mains or exclusives. even if i seem to be close with the mun of another portrayal of your character, if i follow you, i want to interact with yours too. everyone is different!four. triggering material will occur on this blog, encompassing all the darkness of the star wars expanded universe and well as general themes of war and politics. nsfw material might occur, and i won't write sexual themes with those under eighteen. i do not post real life politics out of character on this blog, but some element has to exist within some verses as satine is a politician. if any of these are triggering to you, i would recommend not following this blog.i personally don't have any triggers. i do tag triggers, both of my mutuals and a few general ones. if i forget, i apologize, but i do my best. the trigger tags on this blog are 'trigger tw' and 'trigger mention tw'.

fifty-six bby — hettya gives birth to satine while visiting her home planet of kalevala. her twin, bo-katan, arrives about twenty minutes later. their birth brings immense joy to their father, adonai, who is back on mandalore leading their clan in a local conflict. he will not meet his children until they are three months old.fifty-three bby — satine spends her early childhood split between kalevala and mandalore, the former a refuge when the fighting on the later grows too heavy. however, kalevala also has its conflicts, and it is during one of these that she first witnesses a violent death.fifty-two bby — hettya gives birth to bekote on mandalore. both sisters fall head over heels for their infant brother. this year proves rather peaceful overall, and there is some hope on their parents' part that their children might not grow up under constant warfare.fifty bby — a surprise attack on their village ends in the death of adonai, witnessed from afar by his entire family. having long left the warrior's path after a severe trauma, hettya holds herself together long enough to ferry her children to safety. she never truly recovers from the blow. the duty of raising the twins, particularly satine, the new aliit'alor, often falls upon the rest of her parents' inner circle. satine has reoccurring nightmares about that day for the rest of her life.forty-six bby — a member of her clan introduces satine to new mandalorian ideology. she instantly takes to its ideas, some reminding her of already fogging overhead discussions between her father and mother late at night.while the young leader dedicates herself to reserving deadly violence for only when she must wield it, she trains in all the mandalorian arts of war. for her age, she is a formidable opponentforty-four bby — the battle of galidraan and the destruction of the core of the true mandalorians ends any belief in a balance between the three main factions of mandalore. satine's passion for her cause, her precociousness in matters considered far above her age even by mandalorian standards, begins to draw notice far beyond her clan.forty-two bby — the new mandalorians choose satine as their leader. her speech, her dream for a safer, more peaceful mandalore that will once more be verdant, leads to a massive increase in numbers in her faction. the death watch not only condemns her, but launches an attack, beginning the mandalorian civil war.to satine's horror, not only is the following violence unpreventable, but she finds herself locked in a vicious struggle that continues to destroy what little non-sentient life is left on mandalore and begins to destroy other planets in the sector.and horror turns to grief, as hettya is killed in one of the first battles of the war.thirty-nine bby — as attacks, including assassins, begin to focus on satine, now well established as a martial and political leader among her people, attention falls on the conflict from the republic senate. they send two jedi, master qui-gon jinn and padawan obi-wan kenobi. at first, the aliit'alor refuses to work with the jedi on principle, but an offensive scatters her forces and sends the trio on the run.slipping from safe house to not so safe house across the galaxy, satine finds her disdain turn to understanding to a true respect for her jedi companions. obi-wan and her spend many an hour discussing philosphy and war. having fought a sense of attraction to the younger jedi since they met, she slowly realizes she has fallen for him.thirty-eight bby — the war ends after a vicious battle for which satine is able to return. with victory, the final brutal strike taking even more from her, the aliit'alor declared her intention to never fight again. bo-katan turns her back on her and all too soon after, obi-wan and her part ways, much to her grief, but satine throws herself into the work of rebuilding mandalore.

thirty-seven bby — there is some joy when bekote marries tsikala vizsla, who he met during the peace talks. even more returns to her on their announcement not much later that they were expecting a child.thirty-six bby — korkie kryze is born in the capital city of sundari into peace. when he is first placed into satine's arms, she cries.thirty-two bby — both bekote and tsikala die in a ship explosion while on their way to represent mandalore in the senate, leaving their young son with his aunt to finish the school session. in her grief, satine cannot shake off a feeling that something is off about the accident, but once nothing can be found, throws herself into raising her nephew and her work.twenty-two bby — the clone wars begin with the battle of genosis. already seeing the possible result of a galaxy spanning war, satine and her council prepare, implementing a rationing system in the sector. so too does the aliit'alor speak out against the violence, soon helping to form and leading the council of neutral systems. rumors of a resurgence of death watch ramp up. she insists on an investigation (which reveals her twin's involvement with the group) but her council mostly reassures her that it is small. yet the attack which follow bring scrutiny and suspicion on mandalore. the jedi send a now master kenobi to investigate, and the pair find themselves embroiled in a conflict once more, one that nearly ends in their deaths multiple times, and satine's arrest for murder. she is also betrayed by mandalore's senator and childhood friend, tal merrik. only with a undoctored recording and the help of senator padmé amidala of naboo does mandalore avoid occupation from the republic.twenty-one bby — satine's last hopes in the republic die as they refuse to ease the supply shortages on neutral planets, including mandalore. a black market and smuggling ensues, the results of which nearly kill by poisoned drink many mandalorian children before satine is made aware of the problem. the situation only worsens when padawan ahsoka tano and korkie discover stockpiling by a government official. the culprit proves to be prime minister almec, who attempts to depose satine before the tables are turned and he is arrested.neither does the war appear to be closing. satine opposes many bills in the senate in person as the leader of the council of neutral systems, including that of increased clone production bill. she also attends the funeral of senator farr after he is murdered.twenty bby — the republic and separtists hold peace conference on mandalore, but it soon falls apart, satine losing any hope in a peaceful end to the conflict. her lack of hope only deepens on the news of the murder of obi-wan. she attends his funeral at the jedi temple and weeps openly, only to feel both relief and fury on discovering his deception. though death watch appears to back off, rumors of crime syndicates imbedding into the sector reach her, and she struggles to contain the reality.nineteen bby — the crime reveals itself as a farce by death watch to win over the population, and to her horror, they succeed. imprisoned, she manages to escape once with the help of korkie and contacts the jedi, and then a second time after obi-wan comes to her aid. both attempts fail, but the last proves fatal, satine dying in obi-wan's arms, professing her love, after being impaled by darth maul on the darksaber. for decades, mandalore would not know any peace but that she found then: the peace of the dead.
